上次為了去塔斯看企鵝特地寫信給當地的志工,以下是對方回的信件內容。
Hi,
There are still penguins to be seen at Lillico, with a few late chicks and some adults that are undergoing their annual moult. We aren't getting very many coming in from the sea at the moment, but there should still be a handful.
The penguins on land start to come out of their burrows as it is getting dark and the birds at sea come in after it has got too dark to see them without a torch. There will be guides at the platform with torches, so you will be able to see the penguins.
The best time for you to arrive would probably be about 8:15pm. Wear dark coloured clothing, if possible, and comfortable shoes. It can get cold on the viewing platform, especially if it is windy, so bring something warm to put on if needed.
I have attached an information sheet that should help you to be prepared and to find your way to the platform. If you need any more information, please feel free to contact me again, although I will be away on Friday and Saturday and won't have access to my email.
